About Wealthy Doctor Institute
Wealthy Doctor Institute was created for physicians who want their financial lives to feel as intentional as their medical careers. Doctors face a distinct set of challenges: years of training, delayed peak earnings, complex compensation, student loans, practice ownership, insurance decisions, and very little time to sort through it all.
WDI brings those issues together through practical financial education and planning resources built around the realities of medicine. Our work covers retirement and 401(k) planning, tax-aware financial planning, student loans, insurance considerations, legacy planning, and the other financial decisions that become more complex as a physician’s career evolves.
The goal is simple: help physicians understand their options more clearly, ask better questions, and make more informed financial decisions.

David Yeh is a practicing physician, author, speaker, and founder of Wealthy Doctor Institute. His perspective comes from two disciplines that rarely overlap in one career: medicine and investing.
Over the past two decades, David has studied investment systems, risk management, and portfolio decision-making with the same analytical mindset he brings to medicine. His work focuses on taking complex financial ideas and turning them into practical frameworks that busy physicians can actually understand and use.
David completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, earned his medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and completed a nuclear medicine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Chief AI / Technology Officer
Xiao Zhang is a technology and analytics leader with more than 20 years of experience across data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital transformation.
Her career has spanned higher education, finance, energy, urban planning, and retail, with a focus on building practical systems that turn data into better decisions. She has led cross-functional teams, designed scalable analytics platforms, and helped organizations adopt emerging technologies in ways that are useful, measurable, and sustainable.
Xiao is also the founder of AI for Next Stop, LLC. Her academic and professional background includes programs at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, George Washington University, Harvard Business School, and McGill University.
